The works of students from Coomera Anglican College will feature on the silver screen at their annual Film Festival on Wednesday 18 October from 6:00 – 9:00pm.
Held at Reading Cinemas Harbour Town for the second year, the evening will feature approximately 25 works from students in years 9 – 12, not only aiming to strengthen passions but to also showcase student talent and the success of project based learning.
Coomera Anglican College’s Film Festival was established to inspire students to produce their best work and highlight film as a subject worth celebrating.
Film Festival Coordinator, Sarah Hands, said the students have put in hours of work to produce their films and the Film Festival was a reflection of their hard work.
“There is no greater experience in film than that of the ‘cinema experience’ and what better way to display that hard work to friends and family?” she said.
“Students don’t make these films alone – there are parents, grandparents, siblings, neighbours and friends who all help bring these films to life and the Festival is an opportunity to thank all those involved in our students’ lives.
“We encourage everyone to come along, experience an evening of quality films, support the hard work of our students and appreciate the talented and creative youth we have in our community.”
Members of the public are invited to attend Coomera Anglican College’s Film Festival at Reading Cinemas Harbour Town Shopping Centre on Wednesday 18 October from 6:00 – 9:00pm. Tickets can be purchased online for $10 per person here.
